I didn’t start out overseeing extravagant tablescapes or managing multi-million-dollar interiors. Nope.
Once upon a time, I was knee-deep in spreadsheets, navigating the thrilling world of accounting and insurance (hold your applause). Before that? I was perfecting brows and providing facials as a beauty therapist and makeup artist in London.
Then came yachting. A world I wish I’d discovered sooner. I swapped office life for ocean life, trading balance sheets for beach clubs, and worked my way up through the Interior ranks. Independence? I have it in spades (some might say too much).
When I’m not managing crew movements, onboard finances and keeping the yacht operations in check, you’ll find me soaking up the sun, making dangerously good Ooni pizzas, sipping matcha, and debating whether pancakes count as a food group (they do). Classic romantic movies? Always.
If there’s one thing I believe, it’s this: life’s too short to wonder what if? Whether it’s switching careers, chasing adventure, or just upgrading your coffee order - go for it.
No doubt the above gives you a taster, but I wanted to share A LITTLE more...

From Beauty Therapist/Stewardess hustling in the world of yachting (and guest demands) to becoming Chief Stewardess/Interior Manager, and Purser (titles are optional, but the hustle’s real). Admittedly not much has changed. Although, in the same breath, a lot has.
For over a decade I’ve worked on yachts ranging from 55m to 120m+, led teams of up to 20 interior crew; recruiting, training, managing… also playing the big sister role when (often) needed. I’ve met amazing people in some of the most breathtaking locations, and I’ve learned more than I ever thought possible.
It’s easy to stick to what’s familiar, to stay in your comfort zone. But is that where you want to stay?
... courses, random Google searches, generic advice - yes these cover the basics of what you need to know about the industry, but they don’t dive deeper into what truly makes a standout crew member.
I spent years umming and ahhing about this decision. What a mistake that was! The opportunities I missed... and the money left on the table. But once I made the decision, everything shifted. I took the leap, invested in myself, and the rest fell into place.

I had the privilege of working with Letty back in 2017 and still to this day I consider her a close friend. I found comfort and at ease working with Letty as she has this big energy that can light up a room. She is determined, relatable and has a wealth of knowledge in industry. If anyone could get the chance to have Letty as a mentor then I know for a fact they will be headed down the right path. Her caring nature is exactly what us girls need when starting out in yachting.
